Jessica joined our team earlier this summer working with our superintendent Carl Gray. She joined just in time for the Barbasol and played a crucial role in helping with maintenance and volunteers during that week. We have loved getting to know her and hope you all do, too!
What is your role at Keene Trace and how long have you been here?
I work as part of the turf crew as the assistant to Carl Gray. I have been here for 4 months!
Do you play golf? If not, what drew you to this job?
I am not an avid golfer, but I know the game. I love working in the sports industry and planning events, and I wanted to be able to experience this side of the golf world.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love being with my family, watching my daughter play softball, being outdoors and traveling.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
I have lived in 7 different states and Germany!
Lastly, you had a unique perspective of the Barbasol working on the maintenance side of things. What were some of your favorite parts of the experience?
Never working a PGA event, my experience as a whole was amazing. I can honestly say I never knew how much work it took to make an event like this so successful! Being "behind the scenes" has given me a new respect for the turf crews in the golf industry. It isn't easy. With that being said, I am so blessed to work here and for Carl Gray. He is an outstanding leader, knowledgable of every aspect, and takes pride in his crew!
Jessica is an awesome addition to our Keene Trace family - we hope you enjoyed getting to know her!
