Hole #1

Par: 4Handicap: 12

389 358 324 324 288

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
An intimidating tee shot with water all down the left side with two fairway bunkers awaiting a drive trying to avoid the water. If you are able to find the fairway a shorter iron is in hand allowing you to hit a midsized green protected by only one greenside bunker.

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
The first par 5 presents another tough tee shot, avoid the over hanging trees to find the fairway then decide whether you want to attack a green in two or strategically lay up and avoid the well-placed fairway bunkers. The green is elevated and protected by one deep bunker, it also slopes away from you making it hard to stick one close.

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
A long straight ahead par 4, if you can avoid the fairway bunkers and you have a great chance of hitting this green in two. Watch out, it slopes from front to back and 2 bunkers protect the green on both sides while going long could mean OB.

Par: 3Handicap: 14

207 187 164 164 110

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
This biarritz is a little shorter than most but has all of the defining qualities, the long green, deep swale and narrow bunkers on both the right and left side. One unique aspect of Keene Run's biarritz is that the middle swale is pinnable. Pin position is key for this par 3, if you find the wrong portion of the green good luck with the flat stick.

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
Ease off the gas pedal here as a driver can run through the fairway. A medium length par 4 with a strategic tee shot needed to give you a good look at the dog leg second shot. An uphill approach to a green guarded by a deep bunker left and sloping from back to front can make par on this hole tough.

Par: 3Handicap: 18

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
This short par 3 could lend you a birdie but not so fast, the green is heavily guarded by water short, a small bunker that looks bigger than it is, and a tightly mowed collection area that are always ready to snag a wayward shot. Find the correct tier of this green and you’ll have a chance at a 2.

Hole #7

Par: 4Handicap: 16

377 348 338 338 312

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
A large tree gives you an idea where to aim on this blind tee shot, play to the left and you could find the downslope that takes your ball past the tree, go right and you find yourself in some light rough. Most will have a short iron or wedge left to a green guarded by bunkers left and right, find the green and you shouldn’t have too much trouble at par.

Par: 5Handicap: 10

543 494 464 439 439

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
An accurate tee shot Is needed on this medium length par 5. Going right could lead you to second shot having to be hit from thick rough or even tall grass. The long hitters may be able to get home in 2 but be aware, it is a blind approach into a small green protected by a big bunker. Most lay up to around 50-100 yards, stick it close and steal a 4.

Par: 4Handicap: 8

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
You still have a long way before you can get a turn snack, this long par 4 is protected by a pot bunker in the middle of the fairway that is ready to snag a good drive. Avoid the bunker and you still have a mid to long iron in to a narrow but long green. If the pin is in the front you can possibly skip it on and steal a 3, miss left and you’ll have a really tough up and down and right could be beached.

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
It does not get any easier as you make the turn, if you can avoid the fairway bunkers on the 10th you’ll have a mid to short iron into a green that is deceptively big and well protected with bunkers. If the pin is in the back, take at least one more club to ensure you get to the middle, take your par and move on.

Hole #11

Par: 5Handicap: 3

617 600 582 427 427

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
Regarded by some as one of the hardest and longest holes in the state. A cross bunker takes a lot of prisoners avoid it and a decision must be made. The longer hitters can make it over the creek to have a wedge in, most have to lay up before the creek and are left with a mid to long iron into an elevated green sloping vastly from back to front. Par is a great score.

Hole #12

Par: 3Handicap: 13

244 215 183 183 137

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
A long downhill par 3 that requires a lot of accuracy with a longer club can be a very donting task. The green is very large and sloped from back to front and if you can miss the deep bunkering you might be able to escape with a 3 here.

Hole #13

Par: 4Handicap: 9

431 348 331 256 256

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
A short and fun par 4, longer hitters can get out there and catch a small down slope and leave them with just a wedge in. Others need to favor the right side of the fairway to give the proper angle into a small green that dog legs slightly to the left. Avoiding the creek in front and that bunker left, and you might be able to sneak a 3 on the score card.

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
A beast of a par 4, normally plays downwind which does help. You must avoid the cross bunker to have a chance at finding the green. Most are left with a mid-iron to a green that angles and slopes towards you. A collection area in front is a popular spot leaving an easy up and down.

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
A medium length par 3 guarded by water and small bunkers. Hitting the green is crucial to making 3 as there is not a lot of room to miss, if you do it’s usually a side hill lie or thick and juicy rough which makes par a tough obstacle.

HOLE DESCRIPTION:
The last par 5 is long but reachable in 2 by the longer hitters but be aware it is perhaps the smallest green on the course and water in front loves to catch a miss hit fairway wood. Be careful with the two trees guarding your layup, hit one and you might be looking at a mid iron over water. Birdies are possible here.
